Mariposas del Mundo = Butterflies of the World
Butterflies are beautiful wherever you do in the world. They are often associated with health, beauty or good fortune. Quinnipiac East area is host to many butterflies. Our community residents speak multiple languages with English and Spanish being the most common, hence the Spanish name. The Monarch migrates from the Northern States of the US and Canada to a special place in Mexico every winter. The population has diminished. They have also been introduced to Australia. They truly are a butterfly of the world. Please visit and enjoy our Mariposas del Mundo. We envision more and more registered pollinator gardens in our city and state to help increase the Monarch population.
Ground breaking, earth moving and over 100 perennials planted by 30 volunteers in 3 months of weekly work parties. Great community involvement.
